창덕궁 부용정

창덕궁은 1405년 지어진 조선의 궁궐로, 자연 지형을 살린 배치가 아름다워 1997년 유네스코 세계유산에 올랐다. 부용정은 후원의 연못 부용지 남쪽에 세운 정자다. 정조가 이곳에서 신하들과 어울려 꽃을 즐기고 낚시를 했다고 전한다. 부용정은 일부가 연못 위로 돌출되어 있다.

EnglishChangdeokgung is a Joseon dynasty palace built in 1405. Praised for the way its buildings embrace the natural terrain, it was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. Buyongjeong is a pavilion built at the south edge of Buyongji Pond in the rear garden. King Jeongjo is said to have enjoyed flowers and fishing here with his officials. Part of the pavilion projects out over the pond.
