수원 화성 방화수류정

화성은 18세기 말에 세워진 경기도 수원에 있는 성곽이다. 한국의 전통적인 축성술에 당시 동서양의 축성술을 집약하여 만들었으며, 1997년 유네스코 세계유산으로 등재되었다. 방화수류정은 화성의 동북각루로, 감시라는 군사적 목적과 정자의 아름다움을 함께 갖추어 보물로 지정되었다.

EnglishHwaseong is a fortress in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, built in the late 18th century. It combines traditional Korean fortress-building techniques with those of both the East and the West, and was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. Banghwasuryujeong is the northeastern angle tower, designated a Treasure for uniting its military purpose of surveillance with the grace of a garden pavilion.
